Internet Killed The Video Star
8/3/2000

The first music video shown on MTV was "Video killed the Radio Star".  eStudios has created a wonderful sendup of that classic song, "Internet killed the Video Star."  It's available for watching on ShockWave's Atom Films.

It's performed by the Broad Band, and that's only the start of the internet jokes.  Look careful at the electronic keyboard the lady on the left is playing, and the guitar, and even the speakers.

In the video, they take on AOL, CompuServe, Prodigy, Bill Gates, the cold war, and much more.  The music is well done (I've urged them to release an MP3 of the song), and the animation is lots of fun.

You'll need to have a Shockwave plugin for your browser to view this, but it's available for free.

"Internet killed the Video Star" is only the first music video that eStudio did, the next one was "Pokée".  Others include "Mime after Mime", and "I Want a Fat Babe". See them at http://atomfilms.shockwave.com/af/spotlight/collections/regurge/.  You gotta see this.  10 out of 10 Ooos, folks, they done good.
