Raging Dragon Beta 2 (DANGER!,DANGER!,DANGER! edition) What's New __________________ U64 and u64 2 support Better, smoother, more stable, interface Intro movie support (save as intro.mpeg in RD directroy) Limited id tag support in screensaver mode All windows media player compatable media supported in screensaver mode (go to cinema arcade/digital leisure and start dling movies) ScreenSaver's font/bgcolor now matches the Skin selected (bigger font of course) Full dual interface support (no more only use mouse or only use keyboard) Extra's launch page added, which allows you to launch anything! (May I recommend MK4 pc, Arcade Jukebox 5, your fav pc shooter or even Daphnie games until I add full daph support) (for more info see the readme) Changed artwork system to where artwork must be placed in "mame style" folders for the appropriate emu in that emu's directory (eg. impact flyers would go in you impact.exe's dir under "flyers" like ....c:\impact\flyers\) (The smae goes for extra's too, just put them in the exe dir in appropriate folders) "Full Path" option, which means: a. you don't have to configure paths within your mame configuration b. mame32 ver .55 and above is now fully supported as long as it resides in your main mame directory Path "Memory" which allows Rd to start up on the last highlighted game ____________ Things omitted in this release....... Skin support is somewhat broken in this release as I've re-done the code in preparation for the skinner app Winamp/ WinMediaPlayer - generated playlists in the SS are no longer "supported" as they aren't standardized.... (rd will do it's best, but unless the media is on the same drive or a full path is given for each entry, it might not be able to use your m3u file) ________________ Things to Look for in the next release.... Daphine support (finally) That ati routine I promised you Namco 11 emu support (if the alpha is far enough along) A completely skinnable/reconfigurable interface An option to create skins that navigate by snaps/flyers/marquees/ect An option to move/remove elements on the screen via a skin file Joystick support (maybe in stand-alone app form, but joystick support none-the-less) An optional dragon.ini file, where you can set things like start up res, shutdown cpu on exit, ect The ability to choose how many entries the next/pev keys skip ________________ Things to look for in a more distant release...... Alpha channel support, for skins that need transparencies Visual Pinball Support info/cheat/history/gamesave support via the appropriate files ________________ Known Bugs... Upon refreshing your gamelists for the first time, a restart of the RD may be needed (extra's list related, can't be helped for now) Mute key isn't quite as responsive as before, but it still works :) Once in a blue moon rd will screw up when launching modeler/impact/u64... This is do to their "un-command-line-liness" which forces me to "jimmy rig" support. It's a near miracle it works to begin with. ;) Hot-Rod/Ipac support is still sketchy as I don't have either one to test it on.
