Top left table lists physical devices and their representive icon.
Top right table list different drivers and the devices they drive, and same color family (blue, or green, or other) = same driver.
Bottom table graphs the driver order over time. Grey cells do not have a driver installed yet, blank (white) cells have a driver installed but no device plugged in, and cells with icon show which device is being handled by that driver. DirectX (ie: MAME) starts at top of a column, and shows MAME Analog+ only the cells with an icon in it (ie: a device plugged in), and MAME Analog+ numbers it sequentially (the number next to the icon). MAME Analog+ never knows about the blank white cells (unplugged devices).
The ordered list is a short note of each step in time.
