Getting Started

After launching the ICPD from the LAUNCH ICPD link above, you will first want to draw the shape of your control panel. First turn on the grid system. Look for the SHOW grid button. Each square of the grid is 1 inch and all the pushbuttons and arcade controls are scaled correctly. Move your cursor to the grid area and position it at your starting point. To begin drawing lines press the space bar on your keyboard. This will give you the first anchor point of your line. Move the cursor to the next point and press the space bar again. Each time you want to start a new line just press the space bar. To end drawing press the left mouse button. You can also hold down the space bar to draw freehand.

Once you have the shape of your control panel completed you can start to add pushbuttons, trackballs and spinners. You can drag these around by clicking and holding the left mouse button. The CLEAR button will delete everything so be careful using it. The UNDO button will only undo the lines you have drawn. It will not undo any of the drag and drop actions. Experiment and let me know if you have any suggestions or questions.
