The Living Room Arcade Cabinet (Mark II)

Miscellaneous Notes

You may have noticed a small (Mark II) at the top of the screen. This was my second attempt at a Living Room Arcade Cabinet, I had the controls in a second cabinet the made the cabinet look very odd.

This is definitely a very non-standard arcade cabinet. One thing missing is any sort of marquee. I haven't figured out a place to put a marquee without spoiling the look when closed.

I'd like to thank the people at Game Cabinets, Inc. for all the help they've given me with my cabinets, and getting me the pieces I need when I need them. Other websites that I learned a lot from was of course Mame.net, the wonderful resource of MameWorld.net, the folk at GameCab.com, and of course Build Your Own Arcade Controls.

I'm still learning woodworking. Thanks to the people at Home Depot, Lowes, the WoodSmith Store, and WoodCraft for answering my strange questions and pointing me in the right direction innumerable times.

I've had a lot of fun with this project. None of it would have been possible without the people who've spent hours working on the emulators and cabinets. "I see farther because I stand on the shoulders of giants".

Some other personal thanks are to the gang at TechTV, who got me started with arcade cabinets. And thanks beyond thanks to my best friend Steve who has given me so much encouragement.
