.: Centipede restoration
project .: Finishing 1. After the front panel was installed, I finished it in black vinyl from PartsExpress (#260-018). The coin door was stripped and repainted with Rustoleum black textured paint.
2. My cab was missing the back door, so I made a new one, and again finished it with the black vinyl.
3. It was about this time that I decided to add a bit of flair to the control panel. The off-white trackball and white fire button weren't cutting it for me so replaced them with translucent blue ones and backlit them with super bright clear LED's. It turned out to be just the look I was after; a flashy little upgrade without detracting too much from the original look of the game.
4. The final touches... Repro blue cardboard and plexi monitor bezels (arcadeshop.com), sideart (phoenixarcade.com), and smooth black t-molding.
