To play with AdvanceMAME/MESS in DOS and Windows you must download only one of the binary packages. For other operating systems you must download the source package and compile it.

Good starting points are the build.txt and install.txt documentation files.

Download AdvanceMAME

advancemame-0.106.1.tar.gz (15MB)	The complete sources for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, DOS and Windows. This archive contains also the MAME sources.
advancemame-0.106.1-diff.tar.gz (4MB)	The difference sources. This archive is smaller but it requires also the original MAME sources.
advancemame-0.106.1-dos-pentium.zip (13MB)	DOS binary for Pentium.
advancemame-0.106.1-windows-pentium.zip (13MB)	Windows binary for Pentium.

Please note that for Windows 98/Me the suggested choice is the DOS version.

advancemess-0.102.0.1.tar.gz (6MB)	The complete sources for GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, DOS and Windows. This archive contains also the MAME and MESS sources.

The DOS binaries are compiled with the gcc-3.2.3 compiler using the djdev 2.03 environment under GNU/Linux. The Windows binaries are compiled with the gcc-3.2.3 compiler using the MingW environment under GNU/Linux.

Please note that to use the AdvanceMAME/MESS binaries linked with the original MAME sources you must also follow the MAME License.
