Ebony and Ivory is done, at least for now. As those who have followed this project through its earlier inception, my first attempt at transplanting a PowerMac into this project resulted in a dead PowerMac. The heatsink wasn't attached to the motherboard, it was mounted on the case, and my attempt to replace the mounting poles apparently had problems.
Both sides are now folding proteins full time, and will be my primary home computers.
The doors over the optical disks are functional, they open automatically when the trays push out, but don't look as good as I would like. If I do more fiddling with the case, those will be the first things to be redone.
I'm happy with the project. The satellite box has been an idea of mine for years, and it turned out well. Every new project I do, I try to stretch my skills in some way, and this involved a lot of stretching.
