I recently built a cocktail arcade cabinet from plans by Game Cabinets, Inc. It turned out well, but there are advantages to having an upright. Plus, it would be great to also be able to play my GameCube or XBox games in the cabinet. Unfortunately, upright arcade cabinets tend to stand out.
 It occured to me...maybe an upright arcade cabinet could be hidden inside a cabinet that wouldn't look out of place in a living room. A standard put-together cabinet that can be found at many stores. Like this cabinet, an O'Sullivan wardrobe, model 40488. It sits in my living room, looking like a simple cabinet |
 However, when you pull on the doors, the cabinet unfolds to reveal the Secret Arcade. Able to run PC games, arcade games using MAME, GameCube, XBox, PlayStation 2 games, or other consoles of choice. Two arms hold the control panels, locked in the upright position while the cabinet is closed. |
 When the arms are lowered, the arcade is open!
