Oscar Controls Push/Pull spinner
This product is currently
OUT OF STOCK.
The Oscar Controls Push/Pull spinner replicates the
action of the original Discs of Tron spinner control.
Some modifications to the original design were implemented
to simplify the installation into wood control panels.
.: Features
All steel construction with many of the components
bright zinc plated or stainless steel. The spinner frame is
fabricated from 1/8" thick commercial quality steel for the
strongest and most durable design available in any spinner!
Same bearing and sleeve design as
the original Discs of Tron spinner. The Oscar Controls
Push/Pull spinner has the same push/pull action as the
original controller. Spinning action is simultaneous
with the push/pull action.
True leaf switches for authentic
feel - no microswitches!
Anti-fatigue springs fabricated from
hardened, tempered, polished, and blued spring steel
for maximum lifespan.
A huge, zinc plated 4", 72 tooth
encoder wheel.
All components are professionally
fabricated, either laser cut or screw machined.
Same mounting hole size & locations
as the original Discs of Tron and Tron spinners.
.:
Connection to encoder interface
The connection header
on the optic board has 4 pins labeled:
+5V
GND
S1
S2
The +5V and GND pins
are to be wired to your encoder's similarly labeled
connections. The S1 & S2 pins are to be
wired to your encoder's signal input connections (X1
& X2 for the Opti-PAC, A3 & B3 for the
Hagstrom ME4, etc). A
receptacle connector is included with the Pro
spinner for making the wire connections. A small,
flat head screwdriver is all that is required for
inserting the wires into the connector.
Recommended wire size is 22 gauge stranded.
.: USB Mouse interface
The optional USB mouse
interface allows the spinner to be connected
directly to your PC's USB port. The USB mouse
interface is compatible with Windows98/Me/2000/XP.
The spinner may be used
on either the x- or y-axis with the USB mouse interface,
and it also supports axis-reversing.
.: Installation
An
installation document is available here in Adobe Acrobat format.
The spinner frame is approximately 5" x 5". Please allow for
4" of mounting depth for the push action of the spinner.
A
drilling
template is available here. When printing this template,
ensure that you do not have any automatic scaling features enabled
and that it prints at 100% scale.
