Game of the Day - Dead Connection

Dead Connection is a superb walk-around / Omni Shooter.  You take the form of one of four Eliot Ness-type prohibition-age cops.  The graphics are unique and fun and the action is constant.  You can shoot in any direction and of course there are upgrades you can get to your guns and to your life bar.  You can take many hits as your life bar decreases until you eventually die.  The sound effects are also top notch.

A couple of little things make the game extra good:

The flying bullets and collision detection are very satisfying.  You can hide behind things like drapes, tables, bars, bridges and walls/room entrances.  You can knock over, push around, and blow almost everything up: candles, chandeliers, tables, chairs, plants, bridges, etc. (and almost everything can catch fire).

There is a dip switch setting that controls just how much damage can be done to the surroundings and how easily/quickly it happens.

Good stuff.
