Gunbarich is a Breakout type game by Psikyo set in the Gunbird universe. The graphics and variation in gameplay are drastically updated from the myriad of Breakout games that came out in the 80s and early 90s (it's from 2001). The added twist is a heavy sprinkling of pinball action. The paddle you use at the bottom of the screen actually has two flippers. You can either let the ball bounce off the paddle, or push the button to activate the flippers and hit the ball - thus controlling the direction (somewhat).
The power-ups are cool and plentiful and the graphics are as colorful as they are weird. If you like to play any sort of Breakout-type games, give it a try - no doubt you'll have some fun.
